SEIA launches a new platform to defend federal tax credits for clean energy in the U.S. 30205d

According to SEIA, Solar Powers America will serve as a hub to boost efforts in defending clean energy tax credits. The platform enables Americans to their representatives and urge them to federal tax credits that drive the country’s robust energy and manufacturing economy.
It will also act as the central hub for SEIA’s future grassroots advocacy efforts at both federal and state levels, strengthening the industry’s engagement with communities across the country in building a strong U.S. solar and storage sector.
This initiative comes as both chambers of Congress prepare to return to Washington to negotiate a budget reconciliation package. SEIA is mobilizing individuals in communities across the country to help influence the conversation in Washington.
Abigail Ross Hopper, President and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), stated:
“Solar and storage are powering U.S. leadership in energy and artificial intelligence, creating thousands of good jobs, lowering energy costs, and driving historic investments in manufacturing. Cutting federal clean energy tax credits would raise household electricity bills the very next day. Now is the time for Americans to speak up as Congress prepares to debate a budget package that could increase energy costs and stall the fastest-growing energy technologies in the United States.”
In addition to launching Solar Powers America, SEIA has rolled out a new ad campaign targeting key congressional districts. The campaign encourages constituents to their lawmakers through SolarPowersAmerica.org and outlines the risks that could arise if federal clean energy incentives are repealed.
