
New solar plant with storage from Enel commences operations in Texas 4v4w6x
Enel North America, a clean energy leader in the U.S. and Canada, has started operations at the Estonian solar-plus-storage plant in Delta County, Texas. The 202-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic facility is paired with a 104 MW battery energy storage system. 531fr
Estonian Solar is ed by a power purchase agreement (PPA) with BXP, Inc. (NYSE: BXP), the largest publicly traded developer, owner, and manager of premier workplaces in the United States, for a 21-megawatt (MW) portion of the project. It is also ed by a PPA with Capri Holdings Limited (NYSE: RI), fashion luxury holding group and parent company to Versace, Jimmy Choo and Michael Kors.

The Estonian project illustrates how the private sector will continue to lead the way in the American energy transition.”
“The Estonian commercial operation milestone marks a significant moment in BXP’s renewable energy journey,” said Ben Myers, Senior Vice President of Sustainability at BXP. “Through our partnership with Enel, we are ing the acceleration of the energy transition by adding additional, large-scale clean power capacity.”
The plant is expected to generate approximately 499 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of clean electricity annually, providing enough energy to power over 46,000 U.S. households. Its construction created around 400 jobs, and the facility will continue to several permanent local positions for ongoing operations and maintenance. Over its lifetime, the hybrid project is projected to contribute over $23 million in new local tax revenue to benefit schools and public services.
North America remains a strategic priority for Enel’s investment plans, reinforcing its commitment to advancing the energy transition through innovative and sustainable solutions.
