According to Northland Power, Baltic Power, with 1,200 MW, will be completed in 2026. Once operational, the project is expected to supply power to more than 1.5 million Polish households and contribute significantly to ing Poland's energy transition goals.

In the coming months, the specialized Baltic Power team will install the remaining 76 foundations for the wind turbines across 130 square kilometers of the Baltic Sea.

Each monopile, weighing up to 1,700 tons and measuring 100 meters in length, will be driven 40 meters into the seabed. Transition pieces will then be installed, followed by the placement of 15 MW Vestas wind turbines.

The 1.1 GW offshore wind project from Baltic Power is Northland's fourth in Europe and will nearly double the company's installed offshore wind capacity from 1.2 GW to 2.3 GW.

Christine Healy, President and CEO of Northland Power, noted that "The installation of the first two foundations for Baltic Power is a major milestone in the development of offshore wind energy in Poland."
