TOPCon technology highlights Astronergy's participation at Intersolar Europe 2023 3v534u
The global energy transition involves both innovation and the design of technology for the development of renewable energy as well as recycling and the search for solutions that have a positive impact on nature and produce the least possible impact on the territory. This will bring about the energy and ecological transition that the world needs. 5j7214
Astronergy, one of the world's leading companies in the photovoltaic sector and a pioneer in n-type TOPCon photovoltaic modules, is working with these ideas, as it demonstrated at the Intersolar event held in Munich from 14 to 16 June. The company's latest developments in its TOPCon technology, but also its new contributions to the solar industry in of module recycling, were the highlight of the event.
During the three days of Intersolar Europe 2023, Astronergy showcased the latest developments of the new n-type TOPCon PV modules, especially the improved TOPCon and the specialised Agri-PV for the European market. It also received awards and accredited certificates that demonstrate the company's strength, its influence in the industry and its contribution to a greener world. Astronergy showcased its upgraded n-type TOPCon products – ASTRO N7 and ASTRO N7s. After launching at SNEC in Shanghai, it was the first time these two new products debuted in Europe.
In addition, to satisfy the European market’s solar demands for agriculture scenarios, Astronergy launched an Agri-PV, which is upgraded on the basis of current mainstream ASTRO N5 n-type TOPCon products.
With an exceptional translucency of 35% and conventional advantages of ASTRO N5 series products, the N5 Agri-PV product allows maximum sunlight penetration, resulting in higher yields and increased profitability for farmers.
On 14 June, Astronergy signed a strategic cooperation agreement with TÜV Rheinland Group to upgrade and certify more zero-carbon factories, accelerating its contribution to the global carbon neutrality process. Astronergy Yancheng Manufacturing Base will become the world's first zero-carbon factory certified by TÜV Rheinland Group.
Astronergy continues to make steady progress in the European market. An example of this is the agreement reached at Intersolar to deploy 60 MW of ASTRO N5s modules in . ASTRO N5s is fully compliant with French carbon footprint standards and will offer Agri-PV solutions in . Deliveries of this product will start in September 2023.
Acknowledgements
Astronergy has been working for a long time to keep its products at the forefront of market needs. During the trade fair, Astronergy gained TÜV NORD LETID test certificate for n-type PV modules at a ceremony on 14 June, which once again highlights Astronergy's pioneering strength in n-type TOPCon tech. This is thanks to the high performance against light-induced and elevated temperature degradation (LETID) of the n-type TOPCon PV modules of the ASTRO N-series.
Astronergy's TOPCon capacity reached 36 GW last month, so the high-performance ASTRO N TOPCon products will undoubtedly be a vital part of global sustainable power generation.
Astronergy's ESG 2022 report also received verification from TÜV SÜD. As pointed out by the company, this report marks a significant step forward in the search for a more sustainable future, for which the company will continue to mechanisms to build a better, inclusive, fair and harmonious society.
Continuing in this line, TÜV NORD GROUP awarded Astronergy the LETID (Light Induced Degradation and Elevated Temperature Induced Degradation) test certification for n-type photovoltaic modules. On the second day of Intersolar Europe, Astronergy received the gold "Trust Mark" from Ariel Re.
Module recycling
Astronergy stressed to Review Energy the importance of products that are not only of the highest quality, but can also be recycled and thus extend the lifetime of these technologies. Astrnonergy has already taken important steps in this direction, as the company recently signed an agreement with the China ECOPV Alliance to act as a vice-president member of the ECOPV PV Recycle Industry Development Center, with the aim of promoting the recycling of PV modules to contribute to the world's sustainable development.
Astronegy hopes to collaborate with ECOPV to promote the recycling and reuse of retired or wasted PV modules, and contribute to the global development of clean energy through concrete and practical actions.
In the coming decades, wasted PV modules from relevant projects will grow exponentially, and PV module recycling is urgent and will become a key link to improve the closed-loop ecological management of the entire PV lifecycle, achieving both resource efficiency and improved economic value. Astronergy's leadership in PV module recycling will undoubtedly be a powerful force for creating a greener world in sustainable development.
